WILMINGTON, OHIO 3/8/2010- Cliff Rosenberger, candidate for the Ohio House District 86 seat, issued the following statement today regarding Ohio's unemployment rate:
"Ohio is now in its 10th consecutive month of double-digit unemployment. At 10.8%, Ohio's working families continue to suffer from ineffective leadership in Columbus, led by Gov. Strickland, that refuses to make the decisions that will make Ohio an attractive place to do business. The Bureau of Labor Statistics recently reported total unemployment in Ohio for 2009 was a mind-boggling 17.2%. That's nearly 1 in 5 Ohioans that are either out of work, gave up looking for work, or took part-time work in lieu of being unable to find full-time work. Ohio's working families need help now and we can no longer afford empty promises from our leaders to turnaround our state and we cannot afford to send representatives to Columbus who would support this failed leadership."
The Ohio House 86th District encompasses all of Clinton, Highland, and Pike Counties.
